Warsaw's Old Town Market Square -- Probably the #1 tourist destination. The Mermaid of Warsaw (with sword and shield) is a centerpiece of the square.

Łazienki Park

Łazienki Park - The Palace on the Water, commissioned by King Stanisław August Poniatowski and completed in 1793 just before the Third Partition. Slated to be blown up by the Nazis as they withdrew from Warsaw, it was instead burned -- rebuilding completed in 1965.

Łazienki Park; The Chopin Monument -- The Chopin Monument. A favorite meeting place. In the summer there are free piano concerts at noon.
